John “JR” Rickinger (drums, lead and background vocals) Over the years, John has played big band to hard rock, top 40s, to blues. He started performing with a semi-pro band at the age of 13 “The Way of Today” a group of guys in their 30’s. It’s been a long time since his dad had to be a chaperone, John’s drive and passion for music has never faded. Forming bands in 1966 -1974 “Dawn of Creation”, “Peace Valley Connection” In the mid 70’s the four-piece band “Sensation” who performed on TV shows, Festivals, at the opening of Southridge, Northridge and even opened for the jazz great Stan Kenton in Milwaukee.

Celebrating 41 years, “Room to Move” originally started as “Sound Investment” in 1980, until one fateful night in 2005, when the crowd yelled at a packed venue “there’s no room to move”! John and the guys loved it and the new name stuck. Room to Move has performed at State Fair, Summerfest, HarleyFest, Strawberry Fest, many Festivals, Corporate Events, Private Parties, Weddings, you name it… we want to talk. RTM even on the main stage at the “House of Blues” in Chicago…all the band member names were added along side the giants in the VIP lounge. John’s is next to Ringo’s.
